Dental Implants

Precise, 3D-guided navigation for safe implant placement

At ZAHNMEDIZIN BOGENHAUSEN, navigated, minimally invasive surgical techniques are used to precisely insert dental implants. Thanks to digital volumetric tomography (DVT) and three-dimensional planning, we simulate the procedure beforehand, allowing for optimal determination of the size and position of the implant. In close collaboration with our dental laboratory, a virtual model is created that helps ensure the perfect fit of the implant and protects sensitive structures.

Computer-guided navigation makes the procedure exceptionally precise and gentle on the surrounding tissue. Using a custom surgical guide produced from CBCT and intraoral scan data, we place the implant exactly at the predetermined position in the jawbone. This minimises the risk of deviation and ensures outstanding stability and longevity – a proven, gentle technique with excellent long-term results.

Advanced technology and surgical procedures allow us to successfully treat even complex cases: Should the bone volume in the jaw be insufficient, special procedures for bone reconstruction nevertheless enable the safe anchoring of the implant. In this way, we provide our patients with durable and reliable implants – functionally and aesthetically optimally integrated into their dental situation.

Your implant treatment, step by step

  1. Consultation and diagnosis: an in-depth consultation, 3D imaging (CBCT) and AI-assisted X‑ray analysis.
  2. Digital planning: virtual implant placement on screen and production of a custom surgical guide.
  3. Guided implant placement: a gentle procedure under local anaesthetic, carried out exactly as planned.
  4. Healing: The implant fuses firmly with the jawbone. If required, you will wear a temporary restoration during this period.
  5. Final restoration: The crown, bridge or denture from our dental laboratory is precisely fitted onto the implant.

How much does a dental implant cost?

The cost depends on the number and type of implants, whether bone augmentation is required and the restoration you choose. Before any treatment, you will receive a transparent treatment and cost plan. Statutory health insurance pays a fixed subsidy towards the restoration, while supplementary dental insurance and private health insurance often cover a substantial share of the costs, depending on your policy. We would be pleased to discuss your individual situation in person.

Frequently asked questions about dental implants

How long does an implant last?
With good oral hygiene and regular professional cleaning, implants can last for many years – even decades. That is why we continue to look after you with regular check-ups once treatment is complete.

Does implant placement hurt?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. Thanks to guided, minimally invasive techniques, healing is usually uneventful and causes little discomfort.

What if there isn’t enough bone?
With modern bone augmentation techniques, we can create a secure foundation for an implant in many cases.

Often an implant is part of a larger plan, for example when several teeth need to be replaced. Read more about this under Renovation of a house in Munich-Bogenhausen.
