A better quality of life through restful sleep

Snoring is not only a strain on your partner – it can also pose a serious health risk for the snorer. Common causes include narrowed airways, an unfavourable sleeping position or excess weight. In some cases, breathing repeatedly stops during sleep – a condition known as sleep apnoea – interrupting the oxygen supply and increasing the long-term risk of cardiovascular disease. Besides disturbed sleep, the result is often daytime fatigue and reduced performance.

A proven treatment for snoring and sleep apnoea is the mandibular advancement splint, also known as a snoring splint. At our practice in Bogenhausen, we fit it individually based on impressions of your upper and lower jaw. Beforehand, we carry out a comprehensive diagnosis and examination of your teeth and jaw joints, working closely with specialist ENT doctors.

The snoring splint consists of two plastic components that gently move the lower jaw forward while you sleep. Special connecting elements allow the splint to be adjusted precisely to improve airflow. This keeps the airways open and reduces snoring – so that restful, restorative sleep can return.
