Veneers

Wafer-thin veneers for a flawless, even smile

Veneers are a gentle and remarkably effective way to enhance the appearance of your teeth and create a natural, harmonious smile. These thin ceramic shells are bonded to the front surfaces of the teeth to refine their shape, colour and alignment. Every treatment at ZAHNMEDIZIN BOGENHAUSEN begins with a thorough diagnosis and a personal consultation. Using intraoral scans, photographs and X‑rays, we assess your dental situation and discuss your wishes and expectations. Working closely with our Munich dental laboratory and using digital planning software, we create a model of your new smile. This allows us to visualise the final result in advance and present the various treatment options – giving you a complete picture of the outcome before treatment even begins.

Our approach follows the principles of minimally invasive dentistry: we aim to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible and to make only those corrections that are truly necessary. Facial expression, the position of the midline, the smile line and the shape and colour of the teeth are all taken into account in the planning, as are your bite and the health of your gums. The result should not only be beautiful to look at but also ensure harmonious function of the entire masticatory system.

Digital Smile Design: see your new smile in advance

Dr. Fabian Stiller is certified in Digital Smile Design (DSD) according to Christian Coachman. With this planning concept, we design your new smile digitally, tailored to the shape of your face, your lip line and your expressions. If you wish, we transfer the design directly into your mouth as a trial mock-up – so you can see and feel the result before a single tooth is treated.

Your veneer treatment, step by step

  1. Consultation and analysis: personal consultation, photographs, intraoral scan and X‑ray diagnostics.
  2. Digital planning: designing your new smile with Digital Smile Design and a trial mock-up.
  3. Preparation: minimally invasive preparation of the teeth – in suitable cases without any reduction at all (no-prep veneers).
  4. Fabrication and fitting: Your veneers are individually crafted from ceramic in our Munich dental laboratory and then permanently bonded.

How much do veneers cost?

The cost depends on the number of teeth, the material and the extent of planning required. Following your initial consultation, you will receive a transparent written cost estimate in accordance with the German scale of dental fees (GOZ). As veneers are usually an aesthetic choice, statutory health insurance does not generally cover the cost. Supplementary dental insurance and private health insurance contribute depending on your policy. We would be happy to advise you personally.

Frequently asked questions about veneers

How long do veneers last?
Ceramic veneers are highly durable and colour-stable. With good care and regular professional cleaning, they last for many years – frequently well over a decade.

Do my teeth need to be ground down?
In most cases, only minimal reduction of a few tenths of a millimetre is required. Where suitable, veneers can even be fitted with no reduction whatsoever.

Is the treatment painful?
Where necessary, treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, and most patients find it very comfortable.
